About

I'm Breno, a developer and designer from Brazil.

I build fast, hand-made websites, and I still sweat the small details the way I did as a kid.

On the web since 2002 · 7+ years doing it professionally

01 Background

It started in 2002 with a Pokémon fan site. I was a kid who just wanted a page on the internet, so I taught myself enough HTML to put one together. It was rough, but it was mine, and that was it. I was hooked.

Photoshop pulled me in next. I spent years on design forums back then, posting work, soaking up critique, slowly figuring out what made something look good and why. That habit of jumping between building and designing never really left me.

Since then I've worked as a front-end developer and a UX/UI designer. These days my day job at BX Studio is Webflow development, building marketing and product sites. The design side still scratches an itch, so I keep it alive in personal projects where I get to own the whole thing, layout to code.

Poké Loukos v2.0, the Pokémon fan site I built in 2004. Rebuilt here from the Internet Archive, original pixels and all.

02 Approach

  1. 01

    Motion that earns its place

Animation should help you understand the page, not just show off. If a transition isn't adding anything, I cut it.

  2. 02

    Layouts that survive real content

A design only counts once it holds up with long names, missing images, and the messy copy that actually ships. Not just the tidy mockup version.

  3. 03

    Fast by default

Performance is a feature. I keep things lean and accessible from the start, because that's a lot easier than trying to bolt it on later.

Currently

Building marketing and product sites at BX Studio, and open to a few select freelance projects.
